Since our humble beginning back in 2000, we’re proud to be counted amongst the best teams in the greater Southern California area. We’re committed to succeeding as a unit, and dedicated to representing our team’s principles of hard work and sportsmanship. Our team is made up of some incredibly talented players and a terrific coach who always seems to know when to push the right buttons and how to pull the right strings.

COACH AUGUST AIKEN

Head Coach

August was a member of the first Tier I team from California to win a USA Hockey Youth Nationals title, in 2000. He played three years of Junior A hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League, a league in which he retains several close contacts. He played college hockey at Alaska Anchorage before playing professionally for four seasons, helping the Dayton Demonz win a Federal Hockey League title in 2014. 

August, who holds a Level 4 coaching certification from USA Hockey, has coached nine seasons for the Jr. Ducks. The 2022-23 season will be his eighth as head coach of the 18U AAA team, which he has guided to the USA Hockey Youth Nationals during six of the past seven seasons. He also is a scout for Austin of the North American Hockey League.

His passion is to develop players so they can be successful at whatever the next level of hockey is for them. 

Coach Ryan Frost has been with us since the 2019-20 season as our Assistant Coach, training and mentoring our players, by offering professional and quality guidance during the season and throughout the offseason.

COACH CHASE GOLIGHTLY

Assistant Coach

Coach Chase Golightly is in his first season with the Anaheim Jr Ducks 18 AAA team, Chase has 20+ years of ice hockey experience as a defenseman. He grew up playing in California where he won 1 USA Hockey Youth Nationals title in addition to 2 second place finishes. From there he played two years of Junior A hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League, for the Prince George Spruce Kings. He played college hockey at Robert Morris University before playing professionally for four seasons in the ECHL, consisting of multiple playoff runs.This will be the first season of coaching for Chase, who holds a Level 2 coaching certification from USA Hockey. His passion is to help players develop life skills that prepare them for the ups and downs they will face at the next level and in life
